I don’t bill insurance directly. I’m a private-pay practice, which means you pay for sessions out of pocket. However, I provide superbills after each session, which you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients with PPO plans are reimbursed 50–80% of session fees. I’m happy to explain how this works during your free consultation.

I’m licensed to provide telehealth therapy in Utah, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, and Virginia. If you’re in one of these states, we can work together regardless of where you’re located within that state — city, suburb, or rural area.

All sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. Once you’re scheduled, you’ll receive a link to join. All you need is a private space and a reliable internet connection. Many clients find that meeting from home actually makes it easier to open up and do meaningful work.

My current rate is $170 per 50-minute session for new clients. I don’t offer a sliding scale at this time, but the superbill process can meaningfully reduce your out-of-pocket costs if you have out-of-network benefits.

Both. I work with individuals, couples, families, and teens. Many of my individual clients come specifically for trauma work, and many of my couples clients find that some individual sessions are helpful alongside couples work. We’ll figure out the right structure together.

It depends on you and what you’re working through. Some sessions involve talking through your experiences and making sense of your story. Others involve working with what’s happening in your body — noticing sensations, learning to regulate your nervous system, and building a sense of safety. I draw on somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and narrative approaches. We move at a pace that’s challenging enough to make progress but safe for you, and therefore sustainable.

There’s no universal answer. Some people reach their goals in a few months. Others find ongoing therapy valuable over years. In our first few sessions, we’ll identify what you’re working toward and develop a realistic sense of what the path might look like. You’re always in control of the pace and duration.

It’s a 20-minute video call with no commitment and no pressure. You can ask me anything, share what’s going on for you, and get a feel for whether working together seems like a good fit. I’ll be honest with you about whether I think I can help. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll do my best to point you in a useful direction.

Yes. Premarital counseling is one of the most high-return investments a couple can make. We’ll cover communication, conflict, finances, family systems, and anything else that matters to you — before patterns get entrenched. Available via telehealth in all five states.
